BACKGROUND

AVA solutions is SaaS company that provides asset monitoring for open pit mines. Founded in 2016 they developed a platform with a number of features that captivated mines within their local market. Their value proposition was highly competitive compared to more traditional solutions. After being operational for 3 years they completed a Series A raise and set their sights on expanding internationally.

Problem

Growth efforts were going well. But, despite the additional investment it the growth rate was under their initial forecasts. They needed a way to grow at a higher rate.

INSIGHT

During the expansion we identified a number of mines that fell outside of their current target market segment. These operations were of much smaller size than their traditional market. However, the segment was underserved by all competitors as they were too small to be considered. Leaving them to make use of very traditional methods to track their assets.

SOLUTION

To separate their software into a tiered model based on features and market segment. This would allow smaller operations to make use of their software at a much lower price point.

RESULT

A 48% increase in growth and conversions. Captivating a segment that has been underserved.
